About Greg Karp
Gregory Karp is an author and journalist of 20 years. His national newspaper column, “Spending Smart,” is published in papers that together have millions of readers. The weekly column appears in the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Hartford Courant, Orlando Sentinel, Allentown Morning Call, and others. The column has three times won a Best Column Award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
His last book, Living Rich by Spending Smart (FT Press) was covered by media ranging from Newsweek and SmartMoney to MSN Money and Atlanta’s WSB-TV, as well as scores of newspapers and radio programs.
Before starting his column, Greg was business editor at two newspapers, a local news editor, and a reporter covering everything from local politics and crime to technology and the telecommunications industry.
